Canadian border, eh

Crossing the border was easier than expected. I figured we ARE carrying motorcycles, luggage and children so obviously they would search us right? Nope. He asked a few questions: What part of Georgia, Where in Alaska, and do you have pepper spray?! The children were in the back seat doing their best "Canadian" EH as the gentleman was talking to Scott. They tell me its from the cartoon, Johnny Test, "Welcome to Canada, Eh." The border patrol agent didn't hear them or had heard that one before. Even after I smiled my normal Angela smile and told him to have a good day he had a blank face. Wonder if they have to be like English guards? It was 7:45am so it was pretty early. Alberta is pretty. However, it looks much like Montana. Wheat fields as far as the eye can see. Canola fields as far as the eye can see. The canola grows this beautiful yellow flower during a phase, the phase right now. So the fields look like flowing waves of yellow. The wind blows pretty hard here so the waves of yellow were in constant movement. The temperature would make the average Georgian run for a parka. We were normally dressed for July 12th, Capris, and short sleeves- I figured I would grab the hoodies, just in case. Well, very excited was I when I stepped out at the first gas stop! 47 degrees!!!! The brisk wind hit me with a burst! July really? This is what July is like? Alberta was ok to me.

with love,
Angela
