Packing day

No matter how many times you move, no matter how much you prepare, moving day is always stressful. This is by our count the 7th move with the Air Force, not counting the moves from house to house at a base. We did not know until the last minute we were actually getting packed out on the day that was scheduled, that being said, of course we were out of town taking the dog to the in-laws in South Carolina. We returned home for the packers to begin the next day. The packers put a hole in our wall, broke a nail polish bottle on the tile floor, which they left to dry and cement itself to the tile without telling me... I cut my finger on the jagged glass, blood dripping from my hand, no towel in sight... THANKS GUYS!! I can only pray our things make it to AK safely. After all that...the house is packed and gone, the renter is getting settled and we are in TLF (the base hotel).
Saying goodbye has been hard. My students, my friends, the children's friends. I know we will see each other again. What did we ever do before Skype, email, Facebook...? Snail mail letters? I have saved some of the best letters from 16 years ago from friends down under, also some from Scott when he was deployed. I guess that leads to another post... the art of letter writing, or should I say the lost art of letter writing

PS (no photos this time.. still trying to figure out how to get photos off my phone, ugh)

Until then my friends... With Love, Angela
